Play Dates for the girls... or best friends memories with your college roommate? These two college roommates (the GUYS, actually) were best friends back in the day... and still best friends to this day. Andrea contacted me about doing a family session for the guys and their adorable little girls, Poppy and Vivian, at Santa Rosa Beach, FL. We started off with a group photo for this Sunset Family Photography Session on one of my favorite beaches on Highway 30A. The sky was gorgeous, but the smiles are even better! We even let mom and dad get in on the fun! Family Portrait Session on the beach are such a joy to be a part of. It brings so much joy to our hearts to have the opportunity to capture these lifetime memories of families vacationing in the Destin, Panama City and my favorite, 30A areas. Florida's Emerald Coast offers some of the most beautiful white sand beaches and breath taking skies. Toes in the Sand! The EARTH heals our soul.... and the beach adds happiness! Toddlers and babies are so inquisitive about the white sand, fun sea shells and the loud waves at the beach. Sometimes I get the joy of photographing their first experience in the sand and it's always an incredible feeling that washes over you when you get to see that joy in their eyes. A beautiful sunset Watercolor Beach Family Photography Session with Lisa and her family that had perfect weather & a relaxing feel as we walked along the beach taking in it’s beauty. Lisa & I started talking a while back about a sunset family photo session before her oldest son headed off to college. I was so excited when we got the opportunity to meet her and her family in person to have her beautiful family photographed at one of my favorite 30A beaches. The location we chose was at Watercolor beach along Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Watercolor Inn and surrounding area is the perfect place for family beach photos with stunning white sand beaches, gorgeous rental homes & a tourist friendly town. Lisa and her family decided on orange in support of the Hook 'em Horns and it was perfect as it allowed us to create a joyful & relaxing look/feel to the photos. This entire session was a dream, Lisa and her family are so wonderful. Dad likes to make things fun and is always joking around! Weddings on the beaches of Destin Florida may have the beautiful white sand... but they don't have the small town charm of a Michigan Wedding on the Farm! I am excited to announce: This sweet couples one year anniversary will be on July 18! I am also VERY nervous to post this blog as I know it will be an emotional one for many! I have known Taryn for just over 5 years, and during that time, her (and ALL the Wards) have basically become FAMILY to me. My heart skipped a beat when her and Austin asked me to be their photographer - I knew this wedding was going to be gorgeous, and I was not wrong! We started the day off with the gals getting hair and make up by the fabulous ladies at Sweet Impressions Hair Salon in Sandusky, Michigan . Time for the dress! I'll be honest, when the dress was on the hook... My jaw dropped, I have never seen anything like this masterpiece. It was exquisite, I was more excited than she was to see it on her! Austin escorted his mom (looking radiant in a navy blue sparkle dress) down the aisle. Then it was time for Taryn's gorgeous mother to make her way down, and she was escorted by them two handsome sons of hers. Grab your Kleenex.... this is the emotional part. Todd escorted his beautiful bride, and equally beautiful, 2nd daughter down the aisle. His love continues to shine through, as he helps these two adorable little girls (his granddaughter being one of them) out of the horse drawn carriage, cradles his adorable granddaughter, and walks the two littles down the aisle. Then, this King of man, takes his princess down from the carriage and walks HIS little girl down the aisle for her to join her prince forever in marriage. ~In loving memory of TDW Ceremony was held at a Family Farm! Austin and the boys busted their b*utts getting it ready and the view was breathtaking! Reception was held at Beagios in Kingston and the food was outstanding! Hands down this is the best catered meal you will have at a wedding! Bill and Ann (and their entire staff) prepare incredible meals and have the most outstanding customer service! The hall was decorated beautifully, and the outdoor area was perfect for our "late night pizza kiss"! Happy Anniversary to this sweet couple and congratulations on expecting baby girl #2 any day now! The Dean family nailed it with charcoal grey, accented with pinks and purples, to match the beach & sky. So much fun to photograph this sweet family. They were dressed in the perfect casual beach outfits. We had a blast talking about Spiderman and Dinosaurs, and yet, we still had time to capture some amazing images with enough time left over to put our toes in the sand!
