Love is in the air! This surprise wedding proposal at Miramar Beach was so exciting! I swear at one point I was more excited than he was! By the time the engagement session was done - these two felt like family! So excited for the both of you! Chelsea has one of the most spirited personalities I have ever come across! She had everyone on the beach mesmerized - we were all caught up in the joy and happiness of this moment. I asked Chelsea if she would be a "guest blogger" for me and give a little recap from her point of view.... read on! I knew I was going out to dinner with my boyfriend for our own special night while in Destin with family, and while I knew he had something planned for us, was I in for a treat. After being informed it was a 2 hour wait at the restaurant, I was not the happiest camper. He suggested we go for a walk and so I suggested the beach (which aligned well with his plan), so we headed down the stairs past the restaurant. Upon arriving at the beach, I noticed how cute this spread on the beach was, and was incredibly jealous of their picnic or so it seemed. Upon suggestion that we go check it out, I was hesitant due to the fact it was not ours. He insisted so I followed along and noticed a well placed note in a champagne bottle. To my surprise, he hands me the note, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. Once I said yes of course, I immediately looked up and felt like a celebrity with my picture being taken. Not only had Melonie and her husband captured the whole proposal unbeknownst to me, but they also greeted us as if we were family and had known us our whole lives. While my now fiancé had made the arrangements (completely online and over the phone), we were surprised to find out she was originally from our area of Michigan as well, prior to moving to Destin which had made this night even more special. I can’t quite put into words how comfortable and happy I was to be flung into a surprise photo shoot, but as Melonie said “you’re a star, have you modeled before” which instantly put all my anxiety to rest. I could not recommend the experience (as well as the proposal of course!) to be done by anyone else as well as they did, from setup to the final product. I will be contacting Melonie for any future photo opportunities as well as recommending her to all, anytime I am back in my favorite place: Destin, FL. Miramar Beach Engagement Portraits

We all know I have a weak spot for doggos - these two were no exception to the rule! Last week, Tim and I had a family photo session at Tops'l resort in Destin. We got there a few minutes early for the session so we decided to walk the grounds and we came across these two adorable pups. Dad was taking them for a little walk and mentioned that the older one might, unfortunately, be on his last trip down to Destin due to his age... cue camera! I absolutely fell in love with Gavin's boujee country boy look. 30A maternity photography is one of my favorite types of sessions to photograph, and Rosemary Beach maternity photos at sunset are a dream!! This session is one for the books, it was absolutely beautiful. I mean look at that sky!! We started at the Rosemary Beach Eastern Greens and ended with sunset beach portraits on Rosemary Beach. Her dress was so stunning, I absolutely loved it and the sleeves were fabulous! New travel companion coming soon, this couple is just adorable, they love to travel and their little sign for another passport needed was way to cute! Congratulations! It's your senior year (or almost)! There are so many great locations here in beautiful 30a that I have been marking on my map of “must-shoot-here” on a daily basis. Some of my favorite locations, such as Ally's Beach, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Santa Rosa Beach and many of the Destin areas, are still at the top of the list. But, I have a few new places, indoor and out, that are very cool and I am sure they will quickly rise to the top.

Destin Senior Portraits... what to wear? I always recommend at least one casual outfit for your session! When you start off with this goal in mind, picking out your outfits is a loooot easier! For your casual outfit, think about wearing jeans or shorts with a cute top! You could wear your favorite pair of jeans/shorts, some jeans that have a design embroidered on them, jeans that have patches, ripped jeans, or jeans that have two different washes on them! Then you can pair your jeans or shorts with a babydoll tank top, a cute blouse, a peplum top, or really any top that you want! You can even bring a cute jean jacket, cardigan, or anything else to put over your top to spice up the outfit a little bit and add another layer! This casual outfit that we curated for Diana during her session at Baytown Warf was so much fun to create!
